The card is said to be a way to beat inflation. According to Chavez:
"It's a card for you to purchase what you are going to take and they keep deducting. It's to buy what you need, not to promote communism, but to buy what just what you need.''
Hmm, "just what you need". Who is it exactly that is deciding what you need? Does this card have information on it about how large your family is? After all, a person who has five kids needs more than a person with none.
The reason that this is so worrisome is:
When the government controls how much you eat, they control everything about your life. This is a dangerous road to travel down and when we have people in the administration that hold this man up as an example of how life should be, we have every right to be not just worried, but scared for our children's future.
The Good Life Card, Can't Eat at Home without it.

JACG,
I understand and agree with you here but am confused as to you title of this post.
I assume Glover is a reference to Danny Glover the actor which would be appropiate given his outlandish support for Chavez.
On the other hand, Penn, again assuming refers to Penn Jillette the libertarian magician and this is where my confusion lies. I am not aware of any statement by Jillette in support of Chavez?
Please inform me if my assumptions are incorrect or if they are point the way to Penn Jillettes' faupaux.
No I am referring to Sean Penn, who once said we should jail newspeople who call him a dictator.
Obama would love to get grocery stores set up on electronic records like our doctors. Then Michelle could put a halt on junk food for everyone with a high BMI. What a grand new world it will be!
JACG,
Heard and understood and thanks for the clarification, I normally do not make or like assuumption's but that title had me confused.
That Penn, Sean Penn is a jack@#s!
