Quote of the Day - President Obama Edition Part 17

I don't have as much time to campaign this time as I did in 2008, so this whole thing is riding on you making it happen.
President Obama via email to his supporters.  He has attended twice as many fundraisers than President Bush did in 2004.

He is truly delusional.  Oh, and arrogant too.  Want to see how much?  Go here.

Does President Obama Own a Calculator?

“We’ve created 4.3 million jobs over the last…27 months, over 800,000 just this year alone,”
This didn't sound right to me so I did a simple Bing search (remember, google is evil)

Jan  243K
Feb 227K
March 120K
April 115K
May 65K

That adds up to 770.  Ok, maybe he just rounded up, but he forget to use the real numbers after they were adjusted.  I couldn't find the adjusted numbers for January and February, but they were adjusted down by 49K for both March and April.  That brings the total down to 652K.

Does 652K and 800K sound the same to you?

The Acorn Doesn't Fall Far From the Tree

The DNC had a meeting today in Washington, DC. On the agenda was a resolution to honor the former speaker Nancy Pelosi and her accomplishments. Nanny's daughter, Christine was on the committee that was handling the resolutions and felt that they did not go far enough in the praise they heaped on her mommy.

Christine gave the changes to the committee after she and her mother had discussed them the night before.

"You think I'm kidding," Christine Pelosi added, to surprised laughter from the room. The proposed changes, she indicated, came out of a discussion with her mother.

First, Pelosi wanted to add a mention of her fight against HIV and AIDS, because it was "why she went to Congress." Then, she wanted to insert a paragraph on her "accomplishments for equality," mentioning the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act of 2009 and the repeal of "don't ask, don't tell" in December.

"Finally, since, as she said, 'I'm not going anywhere,' she wanted to add, in the final 'whereas' clause, '...and will continue the fight for America's working families,'" Christine Pelosi said

Seriously? How delusional are these two women? Did they add in anything about her saying that she was going to have the most transparent congress in history and did nothing but have meetings behind closed doors. Or did it mention the amount of debt she put this country in?

Is it any wonder that she needed a full-sized jet to fly her to California? It is the only thing that could hold her oversized ego.

Nanny Pelosi's Final Lie as Madame Speaker

Ok, lie is a little harsh; maybe delusional is a better word. But, whatever word you may choose to describe this it would have to have a negative connotation to it. I have to wonder if she really believes this stuff.

At her final press conference as House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said, “Deficit reduction has been a high priority for us. It is our mantra, pay-as-you-go.”

The numbers tell a different story.

When the Pelosi Democrats took control of Congress on January 4, 2007, the national debt stood at $8,670,596,242,973.04. The last day of the 111th Congress and Pelosi’s Speakership on December 22, 2010 the national debt was $13,858,529,371,601.09 – a roughly $5.2 trillion increase in just four years. Furthermore, the year over year federal deficit has roughly quadrupled during Pelosi’s four years as speaker, from $342 billion in fiscal year 2007 to an estimated $1.6 trillion at the end of fiscal year 2010.

Right Nation has an interesting graph to illustrate this point.

Funniest Line of the Day

President Obama today speaking at the GOP retreat:
"I am not an ideologue, I'm not."

Clearly, you are delusional if you believe this.
