There is a immigration rally tomorrow on the mall. Here are the rows of porto-potties for that rally. There were none at the Capitol building for us.
We had many people coming out and taking pictures of us
Fort Bend is in Texas. He came a looong way
No, you did not.
It is a little hard to see, but at the top of the steps is John Conyers. He came out for a visit. This was as close as he would get. We invited him down, but he didn't want to come.
I was only there for the candlelight vigil, it was a nice evening. So I missed all the speakers and most of the crowd. By the time I got there, only about a few thousand people were left.
I have since heard there was some not so nice behavior today. Not cool. If we want to say that we are better than the progressives/liberals/dems than we need to behave that way. One of the guards at the Rayburn building told me that a congressman was spit on, yuck. I was not sure that he was serious, but it was on the news, so I guess it did happen.
We were outside when they were trying to work through things in the rules committee, we were making so much noise that they had to stop.
Congressman King has asked that people return at 11am on Sunday if possible.

I was at the rally from 11:30am until 2:30pm Sat. the 20th. Later that evening the headline in the news was that tea party protesters had used racial epithets against black congresspeople.
My first instinct is to suspect that this story is fabricated from whole cloth or staged to distract the nation from the real story, which is that at least 15,000 Americans (my conservative estimate) dropped everything and on a moments notice traveled to D.C. to make their voices heard in opposition to what this government is trying to do.
It may be true that there were racist fools among us that verbally attacked black congress people. If that did happen then it is sad and unfortunate. The person/s responsible should have been regulated by the rest of the protesters.
But again, observe how the leftist media has turned the story upside down, making the story of a huge protest against the government takeover of health care into a story of the tea party being racist.
Black & Right Blog reporting it is a lie:

Yes, there is a video that someone who was standing on the other side of the door when it took place. That word was never used. Of course, that won't get reported in the same way if at all.
The spitting did happen though. That person was arrested and let go because the congressman decided not to press charges. I am not even sure what one would be charged with, rudeness?
Conservative girl, Why do you say the spitting occurred? If you have any verification of an arrest, such as the name of the individual and some acknowledgment from the office that made the arrest please present it. Otherwise you are just taking the propaganda bait - hook, line and sinker. This is exactly what I'm talking about. The media sends out lies and propaganda and even the people that are supposed to know better take it and run with it.
Included at the very bottom of one of the later reports was the acknowledgment that the DC police made no arrest, for spitting, or anything.
The only thing close to a real attempt at journalism concerning these incidents was from Fox news and of course this story got zero attention.

My position is that I am going to assume innocence until guilt is proven, especially considering the source of the accusation. If there is proof of even an arrest, let alone proof of spitting, I want to know about it. Since there is none that I know of, the real story here is that Congresspeople made up lies from whole cloth and attempted to incite racial tension in order to undermine the tea party movement. So far this is the real story here and the one every one should be telling. Check the AP stories. The AP reported in consecutive stories that were carried all over the mainstream media:
Rep. Andre Carson, D-Ind., told a reporter that as he left the Cannon House Office Building with Rep. John Lewis, D-Ga., a leader of the civil rights era, some among the crowd chanted "the N-word, the N-word, 15 times." Both Carson and Lewis are black, and Lewis spokeswoman Brenda Jones also said that it occurred.
So far, any videos that have surfaced refute this claim. The only solid evidence concerning any of this affair indicates that the Congressman have fabricated a very reckless and devious lie. After this, the second big story is the concentrated effort to undermine the tea party by the mainstream media.
I'm just having a hard time understanding why you are affirming that spitting occurred.
