hmm... a lot of people were calling us unpatriotic for wearing these a few years ago. and a lot of folks i saw wearing them in the '90s had at that time for some reason put them away. curious.
agreed. i just wish some of the folks who had "i love my country but fear my government" bumper stickers had left them on after Bush won. hard to believe they actually thought Clinton's assertions of governmental authority over the individual were more egregious than Bush's. unless they chose not to think about it critically. didn't see this sentiment posted on many conservative blogs either. just sayin.
Guy: One of the problems that seem to come from the left is that they believe that conservatives were generally happy with Bush. Bush walked away from his conservative beliefs, and we didn't like it. Most conservatives were against the bailouts, tarp, and the laws put into place about wiretaps after 9/11. The name of it is escaping me at the moment. We also had real problems with no child left behind, and the list goes on. If people actually took the time to listen to one another, we would find that we agree on some things.
A belief in the written constitution. The belief that we are responsible for ourselves and for our families. The belief that we are allowed to fail. The belief in a strong national defense are a few of the things that make me just a conservative girl.

You never heard that from me. I fully support free speech, even when I don't agree with it.
My one exception to that is when it is against the troops. They are doing a job. They don't make the decisions, they just follow orders.
