Congresswoman Bachmann released this statement several minutes ago via her facebook page.It is with confidence in Jeb Hensarling's leadership that I bring my candidacy for Republican Conference Chair to a close and proudly support him.
I have done some research on the voting record of Congressman Hensarling. I am fine with this choice. He is very anti earmark. He actually has a better record on earmarks than Congresswoman Bachman is. Now, he is not nearly dynamic as Michele. But, with the media bias in this country, that isn't really a bad thing. Congresswoman Bachmann is much more of a lightening rod. Good luck to Hensarling.
