I agree with Opus, this is indeed why we are in such a mess. Uninformed, "low information voters," misinformed, willfully ignorant.
I agree too, JACG, with the comment you left on my blog, I don't like being mean either. It goes against my grain. But this is not something that she has no control over. I don't fault her for not knowing something as basic as USA geography. I fault her for speaking out on an issue without doing one iota of research on it. Apparently, she googled it and saw a picture of the president and the governor of Arizona. And stopped there. There's no way she did any substantive research on the bill and the problems of the state without learning that Arizona borders Mexico.
And that's why you and I put it up. Here's an elected official holding public office who obviously didn't do any real research on an issue she's taking a stand on.
Whatever diploma she has received needs to be revoked.

I will be the first to admit that I don't know geography very well. Many people don't. But this is more than that. Like pup said, had she done an iota of research she would know better. She also must not even be paying attention to the news coverage on this issue. Every news reports mentions the border.
