I am sure that these two people are very well meaning, but my question is how is this different than the Obama song?
This is a cult of personality that is not healthy for our country. As Americans we should be questioning our leaders, not worshipping them. There isn't one single person that is going to save this country. It is going to be a collective effort.

what was the difference between the two videos? one was about a movement as symbolized through an individual and clearly stated as such while the other was about an individual and what he would do.
I can't speak for these two people as I don't know them. But, there is the same cult of personality with Palin that we witnessed two years ago with Obama. It scared me then, and it scares me now. This is just a minor example of it. There are some people that if you say one thing about Palin that doesn't jive with her being the one to save the country you are bashing her. She isn't perfect, no one is.
"There are some people that if you say one thing about Palin that doesn't jive with her being the one to save the country you are bashing her."
the same is true for the opposite too, isn't it? if you say something that doesn't jive with an opponent being the savior of the nation then you are a racist, hateful, etc.?
either way you are percieved as bashing someone unjustifiably by someone else's standards.
people are strange animals. it seems to be an inherited trait to place persons who they feel are their betters on pedestals. and when you attack the person on the pedestal you are perceived as attacking them too. it's an ego and self-esteem thing.
and yes, it is going to have to be a collective effort to save this country but you have to have a leader of that collective. a collective will never act on its own.
and if you ever studied leaders one thing they all have in common, a cult like the one you are talking about here. even the most evil of leaders had them.
but that wasn't your question of this post, was it? your question was about the difference between the two songs. and i think i distinguished that there was a difference.
