what will the conservatives you want to elect do differently from the conservatives who were in control of all 3 branches of government from 2000 to 2008? this is an honest question; i actually really want to know.

They can start by being true to conservative fiscal principles. They are just as much to blame for the mess that we are in now. They were heading down socialism path as well, just on a slower track. If anything I am actually happy that Obama got elected, people are waking up to the fact that they are forces in this country that pushing us to become Europe.
Also, the congress was under democrat control in 2006. So for those two years we only had Bush to blame.
We want people who limit the size of government. Many that I am hoping that are getting elected this cycle ultimately are not who I want long term, but they will be better than the far left crazies that are there now.
