Apparently, In Canada Killing Your Children is Not That Big of a Deal - 2 Newborn Deaths 36 Months in Prison

A young animal woman kills two out of the three children she gives birth to and will spend only 36 months in prison.  She served 18 months before bail was granted and will now serve an additional 18 months.  She has given birth four times since 2008.  Two babies were never found after she put them in dumpsters.  One child was saved from the dumpster when a man, who turns out to be the child's father, heard cries and saved the child.  A fourth child was birthed during her time in prison.
"You co-operated with police. Without your admission to police about the first babies, there would be no case against you."
The judge also noted that Borowiec has shown "genuine remorse."
Genuine remorse?  This is a woman who did this three times.  Not once, not twice, but three times.  Gave birth to these innocent, helpless children into a toilet, then wrapped them in towels after hearing their cries, put them in garbage bags and disposed of them like they were trash.  How does one show remorse for that?  Do you cry a great deal?  By her own admission she never even bothered to check if these children were male or female.  She cared not one whit about these babies.
I am not sure if it is a good or bad thing that she isn't trying to say she didn't know she was pregnant.  She knowingly lied to people about her condition by saying she had cysts in her uterus.  She never told the baby's father about them.  She never sought medical attention for the prenatal care for these children.  She then says it was after giving birth that she wasn't "normal".
This reminds me of another case in Canada where the young mother was given little to no  jail time because "abortion on demand" is the law of the land there.  They have little to no restrictions on abortion.  Apparently as long as you are not in active labor, you can end the life of your child.  That judge seems to think that includes the time right after birth and the child is outside the womb.
Is it any wonder that we don't respect life?  Why get angry that there are so many murders on the streets of Chicago?  What makes them more human than these children?  When a society has gotten to the point where it no longer cares that life has been ended at the hand of another, it is a society that deserves whatever else comes.

Portrait of a Jackass Edition 3

Wisconsin State Senator Glenn Grothman has sponsored a bill that essentially cites single parenthood, specifically single mothers as a contributing factor to child abuse.  He wants to force the child protections services in the state to list single parenthood as contributing factor when investigating claims of abuse and neglect.

There is evidence that factors relating to child abuse do include single parenthood, there is also evidence that having large families and multiple children under the age of 5 is a contributing factor.  This coming from the Mayo Clinic:

  • A history of mistreatment as a child
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Marital conflict or single parenting
  • Domestic violence
  • Financial stress
  • Social isolation
  • Lower parental education
  • Alcoholism or other forms of substance abuse
  • A child in the family who was born prematurely or who is developmentally or physically disabled
  • Young children in the family, especially multiple children under age 5
Notice how they also say martial conflict.  The factors for child abuse vary greatly and to pass legislation that puts single parenthood above the rest of the other factors, including a history of being abused as a child is wrongheaded and greatly unfair.  They also list multiple children under the age of 5.  In many cases those are people who are married, not single.  Substance abuse is not exclusive to single parents, many married people have substance abuse issues.

Sadly, this story gets worse.  State Representative Don Pridemore, a co-sponsor of the bill had to add his two cents about staying married, even if that relationship is abusive:
"If they can refind those reasons and get back to why they got married in the first place it might help,
Look, I believe in marriage.  I think it is the ideal to raise a child in.  I think that family is the bedrock of our society.  But no one in their right mind should be saying that while a woman is getting the stuffing beat out of her she should lie there quietly and remember why she married the man.  Or even better, while she is helplessly watching a man beat her child she should think back to how wonderful their first date was instead of taking her child and running as fast as she can in the other direction.

There are man factors as to why child abuse happens in our society.  In a perfect world we would get married, have babies, and live happily every after just like the Cleavers.  But we are not all the Cleavers.  Telling a person that they should stay married to a person who is abusing them or their child(ren) is one of the most reprehensible things I have heard.

How do these people get elected?  If you know who will be running against either of these men in the future let me know.  I would like to make a contribution to their campaign.

You Can't Fix Stupid

I am sure many of you have seen or heard about the father of the year who tied up his one-year-old child with duct tape.

The genius then decided to photograph it and post it on Facebook under the caption:

The photo went viral shortly after being posted.  I saw it a few nights ago and asked the person who posted it to tell me it was photoshopped.  No such luck.  This child abuser will be dealt with by the police and luckily for that poor little girl, child protective services has gotten involved and God willing she will never have to be subjected to this again.

But what I found just as disturbing as a father doing this to his helpless child is this quote from a friend of his:
"[He was] being playful with his child, people play with their children differently."
Mr. Curry is now in the cross hairs of law enforcement and child protective services.  But his friend, JeVanna Cubbins, is out running loose in the world.  You can't fix this kind of stupid.   Let's just all hope this woman can't be bothered to vote.

Child Abuse & States Rights

I have spoken out about Coach Joe Pa's and Mike McQueary's  lack of morality by not contacting the police themselves about Coach Sandusky's depravity towards children.  I feel that it should be felony to not report someone you witness abusing a child.  Apparently in most states it is a misdemeanor, including in Pennsylvania.  That is something that is tragic.  People should be writing letters to the state legislators and pushing them to make the laws against this stronger.  So in walks Senator Robert Menendez of New Jersey.  He is introducing legislation in the U.S. Senate to require all states to beef up their laws and make the failure to report a felony.  One may say that is a good thing.  But it isn't.

This is yet one more example of the federal government usurping the rights of states.  Child abuse is not a federal issue.  This is an issue that is better dealt with on the local and state levels.  No where in the constitution does the federal government have the right to dictate to states what type of punishments they should be doling out for criminal acts.  The law will be forced on the states.  How do they get around the lack of jurisdiction?  They do it with money.  The legislation will hold back social services money that is granted to the states by the federal government.  Another words Medicaid and schip payments.  All the little things that the federal government pass laws and force the states to give it's citizens without any regards to the budgets of the states.  In order to help states pay for these little goodies that they force upon them, they give them federal tax dollars to help offset the costs.

The federal government forced the drinking age to be raised in this same fashion.  They had no constitutional ability to mandate a federal drinking age, but they forced the states to raise the age by holding back money if they didn't comply.  In the mid 80's every state across the country raised their legal drinking age to 21.  It didn't matter that states may have felt that 18, 19, or 20 was something that was good for their citizens.

It does not matter that the law may be a good thing.  It is the way that the federal government is bribing states with large amounts of money to force their will upon them.  Write a letter to your Senators and explain to them being against this bill doesn't make you pro child abuse.  It makes you pro tenth amendment.

Stand up to the likes of Senator Menedez and his belief that the federal government has the right to bribe states into following their will.  This isn't about child abuse or drunk driving.  This is about rights of the states.  The federal government has no place in state laws.  If you feel that your state should make the failure to report a felony, contact your governor and state senator.

Storm The "Genderless" Baby - Liberal La La Land Child Abuse

Baby Storm parents have told almost no one what sex it is. I say it, because there is no point trying to figure it out by looking at the picture, it looks like a chubby baby and could be either.

"We've decided not to share Storm's sex for now -- a tribute to freedom and choice in place of limitation, a stand up to what the world could become in Storm's lifetime (a more progressive place?...)."

The couple’s 5-year-old son, Jazz, “keeps his hair long, preferring to wear it in three braids,” his favorite color is pink and “he loves to paint his fingernails and wears a sparkly pink stud in one ear.” What’s more, the reporter describes a booklet Jazz wrote titled, “Gender Explorer.” Inside, it reads: “Help girls do boy things. Help boys do girl things. Let your kid be whoever they are!”

OK, gender is biological. It isn't a state of mind. You have a penis or a vagina. Yes, there are some rare instances that gender can be difficult to ascertain due to some sort of anolomy, but this is true of 99.9% of society.

A few months back I heard about a school in the Fort Lauderdale area that has no teachers, no set plan of any sort. The children can decide for themselves what they want to do. It teaches them to be enlightened. While this particular couple are from Canada, I believe, but if they lived in Florida this is where their kids would go to school. The father teaches at an alternative school that deals with gender, race, and of course, class. Heaven forbid these crazy liberals leave class out of the mix.

This is child abuse plain and simple. Sadly, they have two older boys who are not gender non specific, but dress like girls and paint their toenails pink. While I really don't have much of a problem with a boy playing with his mom's nail polish at this age, but I kind do have a problem with a five year old having waist long hair he wears in braids. This kid is going to be very confused as he gets older and realizes that the rest of the world is not as crazy as his parents. What the heck is going to happen when he reaches puberty and realizes he wants to start dating girls who also wear pink nail polish?

Also, I got a really good laugh at Gutfeld's take on this.

The Western Version of Tiger Mothers

This woman is now under investigation for child abuse.  She forces him to hold hot sauce in his mouth while she is screaming at him.  She then forces him to undress and put him into a cold shower, while he is screaming.  This little boy was adopted from Russia.  There has been talk that older children from Russia sometimes have behavioral problems.  But, that certainly doesn't make what she is doing OK.

Apparently, it doesn't seem that this behavior rises to the point of criminal child abuse, and child social services have left him and the other five children in the home with her.  She has four biological children and twins that have been adopted from Russia.  She has been charged, but most experts agree that she will not be found guilty.

She also has admitted to spanking him and forcing him to do jumping jacks until he drops from exhaustion.  Wow, she sounds lovely.   Wish I had mom like that!!

Obviously these things are not working with this child, it is very possible he needs more hugs rather than Tabasco or cold showers.  If you are doing these types of things and it isn't changing behavior, it is time to get professional help, not continuing to burn the inside of your kids mouth.  Seriously, what is wrong with people?

From the You Can't Make This Up Files

A couple in South Korea became so obessesed with their virtual baby, their 3 month old daughter starved to death.  South Korea has one of the most advanced broadband systems in the world, but they are mainly accessible at internet cafes.  The new parents spent the majority of their day caring for their virtual child that they fed their own daughter once a day.  Didn't any of their neighbors hear this baby crying?  Both parents had recently lost their jobs and used the internet baby as way to escape from their problems.

Sadly, they are not in jail.
