The Gospel According to Nancy

On Thursday Nanny Pelosi met with Catholic leaders at the Catholic Community Conference in Washington, DC. She used this opportunity to discuss immigration. She really was discussing illegal immigration; a word that the left always leaves out when the discussion comes up. According to Nanny, this is what Jesus would do.

"The people, some (who) oppose immigration reform, are sitting in those pews, and you have to tell them that this is a manifestation of our living the gospels,"

Now, I am not a catholic, so I have no dog in this fight and my personal belief system is such that it is wrong of me to try and judge someone else’s beliefs. Only God can judge what is and what is not in someone’s heart; a mere fallible human like me can’t possibly have that answer. What I can say with certainty is that had a conservative Christian uttered this phrase the uproar it caused would be deafening. Anyone being honest would have to admit that a Mike Pence couldn’t say the exact same words about his faith. The sheer hypocrisy of this statement is nothing less than stunning.

Can you imagine if a member of the GOP said this to pastors of mega churchs?

"play a very major role"

"The cardinals, the archbishops, the bishops that come to me ... say, 'We want you to pass immigration reform,' and I said, I want you to speak about it from the pulpit,"

The left and the lame stream media would have a field day, and would be demanding that the church lose its’ non-profit status.

Do you believe that Jesus would approve of Nanny’s view on abortion? I find it highly unlikely that Jesus would believe that life does not begin at conception. At the very least, the Catholic Church believes that it does. The sanctity of life is an infallible tenet of the church. The church goes as far as being against the use of the birth control pill, as suppressing ovulation is seen as interfering with life. The mantra you hear from Catholics on the left is that they won’t impose their views on other people. So why would it now be okay to impose this view?

Does Nanny think that Jesus would approve of the state denying medical care to the old or very sick in order to save money? As much as the left said this wouldn’t not happen, members of the administration has come out and talked about this since the bill was signed into law.

One thing that is clearly stated in the bible:

“Render unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s, and unto God the things that are God’s”
Mathew 22:21

Immigration law should be rendered to Caesar where it belongs.

This is the Catholic version of "calling people out" and "getting in their faces" as Obama urges his followers to do. Nancy and Obama are thugs. They see the opposition as the enemy. I cannot wait until they are out of power.
