President Obama will be flying into MA to campaign for Martha Coakley's floundering campaign.
I find a few things interesting about this:
1. Obama is willing to put himself out there when there is a good chance that Coakley is going to lose this race. During the recent governor's campaign here in Virginia, the White House distanced itself from loser Creigh Deeds before the election.
2. The White House released a statement saying that they were only asked today to make an appearance. The Coakley campaign has said that it has been in touch with White House officials for days. They need to get their stories straight.
3. There are articles in Washington papers today, that is indeed signaling that the incomptence of the Coakley campaign staff is to blame, and it has nothing to do with the policies of the administration or the behavior of current congress.
