“The selection of a reality television personality to host a presidential debate that voters nationwide will be watching is beneath the office of the Presidency and flies in the face of that office’s history and dignity. Mr. Trump’s participation as moderator will distract from questions and answers concerning important issues such as the national economy, crushing federal government debt, the role of the federal government, foreign policy, and the like. To be sure, Mr. Trump’s participation will contribute to an unwanted circus-like atmosphere."
I agree with this 100%. I can't believe that NewsMax is sponsoring this joke of a debate. Since when do the republican candidates have to go to New York to meet with The Donald? Simply an embarrassment.

Since selecting a candidate (either side) has become little more than a reality show, I find it fitting.
I am also glad to see someone saying,"no more".
Trump is the master of "unwarranted self-importance," and far too many people have bought into that, as well as fed into it.
Is the Donald going to fire any of the candidates?
It's only a matter of time before Snooki gets to host a debate.

It's a bit disingenuous for Paul to imply that the Donald is only a reality show personality. Besides, no one invited to the debate holds the office of the Presidency. Some are just wannabees...who are beneath the office of the Presidency.
I'm not a big fan of Trump, but aside from a brief flirtation with national politics, he has built quite a real estate empire, apart from his minor TV endeavors.
