Poverty and the top ten cities
What do the top ten cities with the highest poverty rate all have in common?
Detroit , MI (1st on the poverty rate list) hasn't elected a Republican mayor since 1961;
Buffalo, NY (2nd) hasn't elected one since 1954;
Cincinnati , OH (3rd)...since 1984;
Cleveland , OH (4th)...since 1989;
Miami , FL (5th) has never had a Republican mayor; (They just elected a republican mayor last week)
St. Louis , MO (6th)....since 1949;
El Paso , TX (7th) has never had a Republican mayor;
Milwaukee , WI (8th)...since 1908;
Philadelphia , PA (9th)...since 1952;
Newark , NJ (10th)...since 1907.

'Poor people have been voting for democrats for 50 years....and they're STILL poor.'

Conservative girl, your attitude is revealing. You may want to take a moment to reflect on this:
"When Bush left office in 2008, the number of poor Americans had jumped to 39.8 million (the largest number in absolute terms since 1960.) Under Bush, the number of people in poverty increased by over 8.2 million, or 26.1 per cent. Over two-thirds of that increase occurred before the economic collapse of 2008…When Clinton left office nearly 11.6 million children lived in poverty, according to the Census. When Bush left office that number had swelled to just under 14.1 million, an increase of more than 21 per cent."
Seems to me like the stupid people are those who voted for GW Bush, the self-fashed heir of Ronald Reagan. I won't mention stats that show how well the stock market does under republican rule versus democrat (let's just say your index fund managers would hope there was a democrat in the white house).
