Ugh,  what a jerk.  This is a man who shown that he is dishonest and unreliable, as well as starving for attention.  He said he wouldn't run as independent, and did.  He said he wouldn't become a democrat, and did.  Why anyone would take this man seriously is beyond me.  

Crist Confirms President Clinton Tried to Oust Dem Candidate from Senate Race

I would not vote for Meek under any circumstances, but I do feel sorry for him.  His party threw him under the bus. 

This is the second time in this election cycle that President Clinton has been sticking his nose into the process that the voters should be deciding.  This is our election.  President Clinton gets one vote in New York and that is it.  The fact that the administration is also doing this again is very disturbing. 

Crist has proven himself to be nothing but an opportunist and nothing more.  Why anyone would trust this man is beyond me.  One of the reasons that this country is in trouble is because we don't put trustworthy and proper people in office.  4 days to go!!!

My real question is when will Sharpton and Jackson going to come and cry racism?  Oh, yeah these are democrats................

Marco Rubio and Charlie Crist had a spirited debate on Fox News Sunday this morning.  Here is Geraldo's take on Rubio's performance. 

“In fairness to our audience I have to say that my family loves Charlie Crist. We were at his wedding. He came to our mom’s house. He’s a wonderful guy. I’m not endorsing anybody. It’s not my job. But, it seemed to me he held his own. But, Rubio was surprising. He wasn’t foaming at the mouth. He wasn’t radical. He seemed poised in his own way so Charlie’s got his hands full.”

Ideal to whom?  That is the question I have.  This is the crux of the discontent that many conservatives feel in regards to the Republican Party.  They continually follow the road of least resistance. 

There is no test to be passed before one can call themselves a republican.  Nor do I think that their should be.  But, that doesn't mean that precious party funds should be spent to help candidates that believe in bigger government intrusion into our lives.  Charlie Crist is the poster boy of a big spending, big government republican.  Limited government is a main tenant of the republican party platform. 

Opus #6 over at MAInfo recently did a post asking opinions about how she use the money that she is planning on donating in this very important election year.  The answers were almost all in agreement that the money should go to individual candidates instead of the party machine.  I don't believe that she mentioned what she is planning on doing, but the sentiment certainly leaned towards not giving to the party. 

The national party and the party machines need to realize that people are sick to death of them supporting candidates like Crist in a knee jerk reaction.  There needs to be a thought process put into who they are going to fund.  Money is very tight this year, the people only have so much they can spare.  If the RNC wants to increase the coffers, they need to start listening and funding the candidates that are actually acting on the party platform, otherwise they will see the money drying up when they need it most. 

The Imploding Campaign of Charlie Crist

It is not just the poll numbers that are slip sliding away from Gov. Charlie Crist.  He has also lost top staff on his campaign for the senate.  His political director and his new media consultant have jumped ship for "new opportunities".  High level staffers don't leave a campaign for "new opportunties" unless they see the ship is sinking.  The latest polls have Crist trailing by as much as 18 points in the race for the republican nomination to the open senate seat.  Crist is the poster boy for the term RINO.  The tea party movement has rallied around the candidacy of Marco Rubio and was recently a featured speaker at CPAC. 

Crist and Rubio will be facing off at a debate on Sunday March 28.  The debate is being sponsored by Fox News.  Crist has suddenly become eager to debate and has asked for a second debate on Meet the Press; the Sunday morning news show on NBC.  Marco Rubio has been asking for a debate for months, so it is interesting that Crist has finally agreed. 

Crist has been badly hurt by being a big supporter of the stimulus package, although he is still defending the position.  Crist has recently said that the money saved 870,000 jobs in the state of Florida.  Hmm, according to the White House the stimulus created or saved 1 million jobs.  So I guess according to this logic that 87% occurred in Florida.  He may want to rethink that number. 

Crist has also been quoted as saying that there is no way he is going to lose.  I sincerely hope for his sake that he doesn't believe that, it just isn't so.  Marco Rubio will be the Republican candidate for the Florida senate seat.  Rubio is the new face of the Republican party.  A staunch conservative that will stand by his principles.
