So I Hate Elmo Now?

From the Hill

Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) said Tuesday that House Republicans want to strip government funding of PBS because they have a "vendetta against Elmo."

Yep, that must be it.  It has nothing to do with the fact that PBS has become nothing but left wing propaganda.  If PBS is so great, it will find a way to stay on the air.  It is that simple.  If people want to watch it, they can raise more money, or sell ad time just like every other station does.

How can the people of California not be mortified by this woman?

I happen to love Elmo.

VFW To Dissolve PAC Over Barbara Boxer Endorsement

The VFW Political Action Committee (PAC) oddly endorsed Barbara Boxer for Senate in the California race.  This has not sat well with many members across the country, to say the very least.  While the PAC is a separate organization, they have received many complaints from across the country.

We all remember her request to be called senator during a rude exchange during a committee hearing, but this is not the only reason.  Boxer has very strong ties to Code Pink.  The Code Pink ladies are very anti-military and have gone as far as to send people to the Iraqi border during the war to help the "freedom fighters" against the U.S. military.  They did this during a time of war and may very well have the blood of American soldiers on their hands.  For this organization to then turn around and endorse a woman who has helped funnel funds to this organization is unconscionable.

Apparently people around the country agree and there has been outrage at this endorsement and The VFW has lost support.  The loss has not gone unnoticed by the leadership of the VFW, and as such Richard Eubank, The Commander in Chief, has requested that no confidence vote take place in order to dissolve the political pac for the organization.  Good for him!!!

An organization that is dedicated to the issues that veterans face when they come back from war has no business whatsoever endorsing a woman who has shown with not just her words, but with her actions, to be so contrary to the values of the military and the very important mission that they willingly put their lives on the line to accomplish.

Showing No Love for Call Me Senator Boxer - SF Chronicle Will Not Endorse Boxer

The San Francisco Chronicle has declined to endorse Barbara Boxer.  This comes as a big surprise for several reasons, one being it is her hometown paper of sorts.  She started her political career in Marin County and her husband's law practice is based in Oakland.

The incumbent, Democrat Barbara Boxer, has failed to distinguish herself during her 18 years in office. There is no reason to believe that another six-year term would bring anything but more of the same uninspired representation
Ouch!

Boxer, first elected in 1992, would not rate on anyone's list of most influential senators. Her most famous moments on Capitol Hill have not been ones of legislative accomplishment, but of delivering partisan shots. Although she is chair of the Environment and Public Works Committee, it is telling that leadership on the most pressing issue before it - climate change - was shifted to Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., because the bill had become so polarized under her wing.
Double Ouch!

So instead of endorsing Carly Fiorina they have chosen not to endorse anyone.  But the did say some positive things about Carly.

Boxer's campaign, playing to resentment over Fiorina's wealth, is not only an example of the personalized pettiness that has infected too much of modern politics, it is also a clear sign of desperation.

In past elections, Boxer has had the good fortune of having Republican opponents who were inept, underfunded, on the fringe right - or combinations thereof. Her opponent this time, Fiorina, is proving to be articulate, well-funded and formidable.
But by not endorsing Call Me Senator are they not just saying go ahead and vote for Carly?

Conservative Girl Adventures - Show me yours, I'll show you mine

I called Senator Boxer's office today. See, I have a townhall meeting to attend in a few weeks and I needed to get some advice on how to dress.

The receptionist told me that while she guesses I was clever (thanks so much for the compliment) but the Senator didn't make comments on fashion.

I reminded her that wasn't exactly true.

I found a few hints. Let me know what you think:

Now, this first one really isn't me; after all, I am conservative girl.

Again, this isn't really me either. I am a little squeemish when it comes to blood.

I don't know about this one either. I don't swear. Ok, sometimes if I hurt myself it slips out.

Oh, one more thing:
Nancy I showed you mine - where is yours?

See Michelle Malkin for more great photos
