In case you have not heard Senator Ben Nelson, of the cornhusker kickback fame is having some problems back home during the holiday break. While trying to eat out with his family at a local pizza joint he was booed out of the restaurant earlier this week. While I don't think being out right rude is very nice, but he kind of deserves it.
You lied Ben.............the people of your state don't like it.
The guys over at Hillbuzz asked the question if you could committ to making Ben Nelson's life a living a hell over the next month. The readership replied with vigor. A list of his top contributors has been posted, and the anti-obamacare activists got to work.
Omaha Steaks is one of Ben Nelson's largest contributors. A person who actually is an active customer of Omaha Steaks sent an email to the customer service department and here is the response:
Dear Ms. (deleted),
We received your e-mail and reviewed your concerns. We understand that healthcare reform is of great concern to all Americans. We are confident, however, that boycotting Nebraska companies is not the answer to resolving the issues within the proposed legislation. Boycotting companies results in lost jobs and accomplishes nothing except to potentially hurt employees – fellow Americans like you – who rely on their jobs to provide for their families.

OMG - can you believe that a company would be so arrogant to reply in this manner? They will lay off employees before cutting ties with a politican? What exactly does Senator Nelson do for them that they would be more loyal to him than to their customer base?
This is what we are up against. A system that is so corrupted that it is almost impossible to change it.

While conservatives may think that they have nothing in common with gay Hillary supporters, you will find that just isn't the case. It is a great site that is working very hard to keep Obamanation's socialist policies from taking hold.
The news is not good for Ben Nelson. Here are the updated numbers for the Senator:
34% very unfavorable view 42% say he is too supportive of President Obama's agenda 61% disapprove of President Obama's job performance 65% feel that tax payer funds should not be used for abortion 17% approve of deal he made in the healthcare bill for Medicaid funding 64% disapprove of the healthcare reform bill from the senate 62% believe the legislation will raise costs 56% believe the legislation will dimish quality of care
What should make Senator Nelson take the most pause is:
Gov. Dave Heineman 61% Senator Nelson 30%. The Governor has yet to announce that he is running for the seat.
In the same poll, they were asked if Sen. Nelson blocked healthcare the numbers are as follows:
Gov. Dave Heineman 47% Senator Nelson 37% 20% of people said they would support Nelson if he switches his vote to block healthcare.
Luckily for him he doesn't face the voters until 2012. I wonder if he is counting on people forgetting before then?
