President Bush to Have His Say - Decision Points
President Bush will be releasing a book that is due out November 9th; one week after the mid-term elections. The book is going to be a slightly different format of an autobiography. He will be directly dealing with decisions that he has made throughout his life. When he stopped drinking, when he made the choice to invade Iraq and the many other decisions he made after 9/11.
There are many things about President Bush that I was not happy about, mainly he walked away from conservative principles during the last two years as president. He also streched the constitution further than it is meant to go. But, with all the mistakes that he did make, he kept us safe following 9/11. For that, we all owe him a debt of gratitude.
I am also always impressed by the class that he shows. He could have released this book before the election, and has chosen not to. You can disagree with his policy decisions, but the man has a respect for the office of the presidency and our elections that President Obama is sorely lacking.
I, for one, am looking forward to reading this book.
