Quote of the Day - Hilary Rosen Edition

His wife has never actually worked a day in her life.
Hilary Rosen, board member Center for American Progress and Obama Campaign Liaison.

Lets see, she raised five children.  She has worked on the following charities:
Director of Best Friends; an inner city project designed to work with at risk children.
Ten Point Coalition, another charity that works with urban at risk children.
She received a lifetime achievement award from the Charity Operation Kids in Salt Lake City
She also sat on the board of United Way of America.
But no, she never worked a day in her life.

I liked Ann's response, did you see it? About how hard she worked raising FIVE SONS?

Then Rosen came back with some awful thing like "ya, but she sure doesn't know what it's like to have to make a living and raise kids"

they'll never stop the insults; the nastiest pieces of work going..

The Obama campaign disavowed this statement. There are plenty of stay at home moms in this country who are not automatically conservative. They better step back comments like this. Talk about your war on women.

Way to distort the truth (lie) by cherry picking the part that makes you look good, and leaving out the substansitive part that was the *actual* point of Ms. Rosen's statement. Let's see if you have the character to host Hilary's *entire* statement.

""What you have is Mitt Romney running around the country saying, 'Well, you know my wife tells me that what women really care about are economic issues and when I listen to my wife that's what I'm hearing.' Guess what? His wife has actually never worked a day in her life. She's never really dealt with the kinds of economic issues that a majority of the women in this country are facing in terms of how do we feed our kids, how do we send them to school and why do we worry about their future."

How does it make me look good? First, stay at home moms know a great deal of about economics. They are the ones making sure that the family stays within budget.

This has been done over and over again by the left about conservative women who decide to stay at home and raise children. They did the exact same thing to both Barbara and Laura Bush.

NOW's president came out the next day and said what Hilary meant to say was that she didn't get a paycheck. Apparently to the left that is the only way a woman is supposed to know anything. You can go out and take care of someone else's children and get paid for it and you will know something. Staying home and caring for your own means you must be an idiot.
