Don't Look Now, But Newt is Gaining in the Polls

I think that Newt is going to be part of the conversation once the votes are actually cast.  Newt seems to think so too.

Newt gave a ripping roaring speech in Iowa last night at the Ronald Reagan Dinner, a republican fundraiser.  All the candidates except Herman Cain and Mitt Romney attended a gave a short speech.  Newt got the biggest applause.  His numbers in the polls are starting to climb.  He spent part of his time complimenting the other candidates.  He has consistently tried to stay above the fray of the republican firing squad and concentrate his efforts on Obama and his policies.

Oh, by the way, I would pay money to watch him and Obama do a Lincoln-Douglas type debate.  I think it should be used as a debt paydown plan.  I would pay $200 to watch that.  Wouldn't you?

Newt deserves a second look. Flawed? Yes. But he could mop the floor with Obama in a debate.
