Conservative Girl Adventures - Part 2

I had a great day at the Save the American Dream Summit today.  I attended some internet activism classes, went to a rally/tea party down on the Capitol.  We also went and spoke with Eric Cantor's office.  He is from Virginia so he had a staff member come and meet with us.  It was interesting, because I don't think his staff member expected the anger.

This is one of the things that the republicans don't get.  We are not going to vote for them simply because they are republicans.  They need to get back to their conservative ideals and principles.  I told him that I will vote for democrat if he/she is a fiscally conservative.  I don't care about party.  The look on his face was total shock.  It was fun!!

Laura Ingraham was one of the key note speakers.  She gave a good speech.  She had the chance to sit in for Bill O'Reilly tonight.  She was a little bummed that she didn't have the opportunity to talk about Michelle and Oprah crying their way back to America after the shock of not only losing to Rio, but being knocked out in the first round.   I happened to be in an internet activism training class when the news came out.  The entire room stood up and cheered.

Laura also gave kudos to us all.  The bloggers and the people that have showed up at the town halls and tea parties.  We are driving the legislation agenda.  Even if the democrats don't want to admit it.

A very good day/evening.  I did forget my camera this morning.

I will fill you in more tomorrow at the rest of the events over the weekend.

I believe that Eric Cantor will seek the GOP nomination in 2012. Of course the religious bigots who now control that party will never give it to him because of his religion. Pigs will fly, the earth will fry and David Duke will become head of the NAACP before THAT ever happens. It begs the musical question: Why on earth is this knucklehead a Republican anyway?

If you think about it for a moment or two, Eric Cantor would be the ideal Republican nominee in '12. The Semitic Ronald Reagan! He's good looking, he has a really nice speaking voice, perfect manners, a lovely wife, three well-behaved children - and all the substance of a hot air balloon. The guy is made to order, are you kidding me? And just think of the marketing possibilities for the GOP spin doctors:

WE MADE HISTORY FOUR YEARS AGO BY ELECTING A BLACK GUY AS PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES. LET'S DO IT AGAIN BY ELECTING A JEWISH GUY!

I can see it now.
