Here are some things that I have been pondering about lately. Let me know what you think.
The Baucus bill in its current form will put much of the costs on the states. Does that mean that President Obama will be able to say that he kept his promise of no new taxes on middle class American’s even after my state taxes increase?
Are the states going to be forced to accept these additional costs? Doesn’t the 10th amendment mean anything anymore?
Why should I pay higher taxes starting in 2010 when the program doesn’t start until 2013?
Is it fair that the people of Nevada are exempt from much of the additional costs for three years because Harry Reid is in a tight re-election race?
If Nevada is exempt shouldn’t California be exempt as well? California’s economy is in real trouble. If that is the basis of the exemption shouldn’t all states that have deficits be exempt?
If all states that have deficits are exempt wouldn’t that mean almost all states would be exempt?
Are you comfortable with the bill saying that people can be jailed for not having health insurance?
Wouldn’t it just be cheaper to give the people in the country without insurance money to pay for health insurance?
If there is so much waste in Medicare/Medicaid why isn’t being fixed?
Why are the penalties higher for having pot than for Medicare fraud?
Sen. McCaskill told Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday that almost $1 billion could be saved by Medicare not paying for the scooters that senior’s with walking issues use.
Is it fair to assume that all people that have medical debt never pay it off? If that is true, then I must be an idiot. I paid all my medical bills when I was sick.
