Well Yippie, The War on Terror is Over.

So says a senior official of President Obama's State Department.  


I think al Qaeda has something else to say.

 

Jihadi Cosmo to hit the Stands

The Daily Mail is reporting that al Qaeda is releasing a magazine to appeal to women.

The first issue's editorial explains that the magazine's goal is to educate women and involve them in the war against the enemies of Islam.

It says: Because women constitute half of the population - and one might even say that they are the population since they give birth to the next generation - the enemies of Islam are bent on preventing the Muslim woman from knowing the truth about her religion and her role, since they know all too well what would happen if women entered the field of jihad.

It will feature interviews with widows of the matyrs and apparently some beauty advice:

And the 'beauty column' instructs women to stay indoors with their faces covered to keep a 'clear complexion'.

They should 'not go out except when necessary' and wear a niqab for 'rewards by complying with the command of Allah Almighty'.

I got to thinking about type of features they can have in the future.

A Look into the Views of the Muslim World

An interesting new poll has been released regarding the views of the Muslim world.  It is a mixed bag from a western point of view. 

In some countries the people who consider themselves reformers are a much larger margin than the fundmentalists. 

What becomes confusing, if not downright scary are the below numbers:

•At least three-quarters of Muslims in Egypt and Pakistan say they would favor making each of the following the law in their countries: stoning people who commit adultery, whippings and cutting off of hands for crimes like theft and robbery and the death penalty for those who leave the Muslim religion. Majorities of Muslims in Jordan and Nigeria also favor these harsh punishments.

It is hard to reconcile that Pakistani's in larger numbers think they are moderates/reformers yet still want stoning and whipping.  The numbers in Egypt are a little easier to see due to the larger numbers of fundementalists. 

Some very good news is that al Qaeda is losing ground:

Only in Nigeria is there a majority that favors bin Laden.  But, Hamas and Hezbollah are more popular in other areas of the Muslim world.

Only 100 al Qaeda Left in the World? Congresswoman McCollum on Terrorist Threat

Well, it is good to know that we are no longer in danger, isn't it? 

Sadly, this woman will probably be re-elected as her state is very liberal and she is in the 2nd most liberal district in the state of Minnesota.  Her smallest victory was her first race with 48% of the vote, a race that had three candidates in it.  She has won with as much as 70% of the vote.  She is a member of the Democratic-Farmer Labor Party, basically a socialist party that believes in government ownership of certain industries. 

Beck is Like Al Qaeda?

At least Howie Kurtz (who I actually have respect for, he normally will point out the hypocrisy of the left)stood up to this small-minded and stupid man.  The reality is the left doesn't know what do with a mobilized right.  The attacks are going to get bigger and come more often because we have become a mobilized force.  I have a friend who was appearing on Fox News while Beck was in the studio.  That man travels surrounded by security, why exactly is that?  If he is the "terrorist" why would he need the security.  Look at the tape of the rally on Saturday.  Every time he moved around the stage, at least two different men in black suits moved with him.  I don't think anyone on the right is threatening his life. 

In the past you could always get the right to show up for a pro life rally and you had a good shot at getting a good number for gun rights.  But, not for a whole lot else.  We just didn't show up in the streets with signs.  Beck is part of that change.  Although, he is not the "founder" of the tea party movement.  Many on the left don't realize it was Rick Santelli of CNBC that started that.  Beck just saw the "tea" leaves and found a way to take that energy that was forming.  All he did was tell us we were not alone, we did the rest. 

Alleged Bomber in Custody

The authorities have in custody an American citizen from Pakistani descent for the failed bombing attempt in Times Square over the weekend.  Shahzad Faisal  was picked up while he was trying to flee the country at JFK Airport.  He was headed to Dubai. 


Faisal is a 30 year old man who is from Connecticut.   It is interesting that he has waited two days before trying to leave the country.  He would have to known almost immediately that the bomb didn't go off.  So that leaves the question what type of help did he receive over the past two days and by whom.  It has always been a hallmark of al-Qaeda to have multiple attacks. 

We must give a big thank you to the NYPD and the FBI - they have done a great job getting this crazy man into custody.  We will be hearing much more on this in the days to come. 

Captured? Adam Gadahn reportedly in Pakistani Custody

Adam Gadahn, the American born al Qaeda member, is believed to have been captured in Pakistani city of Karachi today.  He was born Adam Pearlman in Oregon in 1978.  He grew up with parents who became devout Christians who changed their name to Gadahn.  He was homeschooled by his parents and lived in an isolated farming community in Southern California. 

At the age of sixteen, he moved in with his Jewish grandparents and started searching for his own religious roots.  He joined a mosque and began studying Islam.  He became involved with a study group that seemed to be more radical than the mosque itself.  He and others of the study group were involved with an assault on the chairman of the Mosque, who they believed to be to westernized and friendly with Jews.  In 1998 he moved to Pakistan and married an Afghani refugee. 

He started popping up in al Qaeda videos in 2004.  He referred to himself as "Azzam the American".  While his face was covered, people from his former mosque in California ID'd him to the federal authorities.  Although, his parents said they couldn't be sure it was him.  As time went on he no longer hid his identity.  He is also to believed to be part of As-Sahab, the video arm of the terrorist group.  He has a background of working at store in America as a teenager that gave him the skills to produce these videos.  He also is the person who called President Obama a "House Negro" while discussing Malcom X.  He obviously has knowledge of the American systems and the western mindset as he was born and raised here.

He has been listed as killed in drone attacks on several other occassions in the past just to resurface in videos with current information being discussed.  The Pakistani's have also gotten names incorrect in the past.  So we will have to wait and see if he is indeed in custody.  He is under indictiment for treason and with all the videos it shouldn't be hard to get that conviction in court without giving up any security secrets. Here is just one of the many statements made by this traitor:

2.End "all support and aid, military, political, economic, or otherwise, to the 56-plus apostate regimes of the Muslim world, and abandon them to their well-deserved fate …"


3."End all support, moral, military, economic, political, or otherwise, to the bastard state of Israel, and ban your citizens, Zionist Jews, Zionist Christians, and the rest from traveling to occupied Palestine or settling there. Even one penny of aid will be considered sufficient justification to continue the fight."


4."… impose a blanket ban on all broadcasts to our region …"


5."Free all Muslim captives from your prisons, detention facilities, and concentration camps, regardless of whether they have been recipients of what you call a fair trial or not."


Gadahn warned


"…your failure to heed our demands and the demands of reason means that you and your people will – Allah willing – experience things which will make you forget all about the horrors of September 11th, Afghanistan and Iraq".

KSM Trial - Did Robert Gibbs Damage the Prosecution's Case?

“He will be brought to justice, and he will likely be executed for the heinous crimes he has committed,” Gibbs said on CNN's "State of the Union." “That you can be sure of.”






The mantra that is being used by the administration for the rationale of trying KSM in open court is to show the world what the American justice system is all about. Well, is it just me, or did Baghdad Bob Gibbs just get KSM a mistrial? Where was the word alleged? This is not the only statement from the administration that is similar to this. Even the President himself has seemed to indicate the KSM will be found guilty. While I can’t imagine any jury in this country not finding him guilty, it is still something that officials can’t say out loud like this. Any decent defense attorney will file a motion for dismissal based on these statements.


The administration has even gone as far as to say that if for some reason that there is not a guilty verdict KSM will not be allowed to go free. We have top administration officials making statements of his guilt, saying that he will never allowed to be freed regardless of what the verdict is, and it seems that the administration has already decided that the death penalty will be jury’s verdict. Why are we having a trial then? Could it be to satisfy the far left’s thirst to punish the Bush administration?


The American justice system is about proving guilt beyond a reasonable doubt, and a presumption of innocence. The President is a former constitutional law professor. You don’t get to have it both ways here. You either give KSM all the constitutional rights to a fair trial or you don’t. The administration needs to make up its mind what it is going to be. They are either going to follow the law and allow the process to take place fairly, or they are going to try and score points with American public by making it seem that holding the trials on US soil is a good idea. These type of statements go a long way to make it look like the latter.

Keith Olbermann, The Lunatic Left, & The CIA

Keith Olbermann has really hit an all-time low.  He has said that the CIA purposely did not follow up on the undies bomber to make President Obama look bad.  So, this lunatic believes that the professionals who risk thier lives to protect the American public would allow 300 innocent people to die, give al-Qaeda huge visibility and the jihadists additional recruiting tools just to make Obama look bad.  There is no way that they would have known that the bomb detonator would fail.  Or, does this guy think that they made sure that the bomb wouldn't go off before helping him onto the plane? 

He is either saying that they were willing to let 300 people die or that they helped him while making sure the bomb wouldn't go off.  Those would be the only two logical choices. 

This man is a lunatic.  There is no other way to describe this type of thought process.  Let's just say for the sake of arguement that the CIA did want to make President Obama look bad, there is no other way to do this?  Does he really think that they don't speak to the press as an anoymous source?  They could easily leak something that would be embarassing to the administration.  I am sure that Leon Penatta has given them plenty of ammo, since he has no experience whatsoever in the intelligence field. 

The people who work at the CIA do the jobs that they do for a lower salary then they would make in the private sector, live a life that is full of secrecy, and gets little to no glory.  We should be heralding the people who are willing to do this for a living, not accusing of them of attempted murder.

A Pre 9/11 Mentality is Unacceptable - Terror is Still in the Skies

Yesterday we were given a reminder of why we cannot live in a pre 9/11 world. The dangers of terrorism exist in the world and we have to remain vigilant. A 23 year old Nigerian man got on plane to travel to the United States with the intent of blowing up the plane on American soil. His travels started in Lagos, Nigeria onto Amsterdam, then to Detroit. While it is not clear what materials he used in his attempt to blow up the plane, the reality remains that we are still in danger.

Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab apparently has ties in the United Kingdom and Yemen. The UK has very serious issues when it comes to Islamic extremism. London has been nicknamed Londonistan. This nickname has been deserved. The U.K. has more lax immigration than the U.S. does. Many immigrants come to the U.K. to take advantage of their version of our welfare system. There are several Imams that preach fiery anti-western speeches in the many mosques around London while collecting a monthly check from the very country that they are hell bent on destroying. If asked about the hypocrisy of this, they will just say that they qualify for it. London also has many dissidents from Middle Eastern countries that traveled to western nations due to arrests warrants in their home countries such as Saudi Arabia. They put in claims of fear of torture and death threats and will be allowed to stay. There is a radio program that is broadcasted out of London done by a man who is a proud and vocal follower of Usama bin Laden. He cheered the destruction of the twin towers on 9/11.


Sadly, there is a movement within portions of the British government that is using the same form of appeasement that they did during the 1930’s with Hitler. Incorporating Sharia law into British common law is one of the ways that this being done. While it may seem harmless on the surface to incorporate Sharia into child custody and divorce cases for the growing Muslim population within the country, it is not. When you immigrate to another country you need to become part of the culture of the country that you are now living in. I am not saying that you let go of your culture, but you need to become part of the country that you are living in. I am a product of this. While I was raised to be an American, I was also taught the Scandinavian traditions and culture. I carry those with me to this day. If you want to live under Sharia law, then stay in a country that follows it. There are plenty of them around the world.


Yemen is another country that has very real problems. It is an extremely poor country that has a very unstable government. It is not a country that westerners should travel to, as you may be kidnapped and held for ransom. It is a common occurrence. Yemen has beautiful antiquities that are draw for people that want to see these things for themselves. Yemen is the ancestral home of the bin Laden family, and one of his wives is a native. While the Yemenise government has made attempts at curbing international terrorism, it has not gone very well. The judicial system has not been great at jailing these people, and when they do there are breakouts from the prisons where sometimes up to 100 people will be freed at a time. Since these occur on pretty regular basis, it would make sense that some of the jail officials are in on it, or at the very least being paid off. It would not be hard for Yemen to become the next Afghanistan that harbors bin Laden, training camps, and the like.


At this point it is unclear how strong his ties to terrorism are. We have not been told if he attended any training camps or if he is a lone wolf that looked for people to help him with the explosives. Those questions may never be answered to the American public for security reasons. What is clear is that we cannot forget what happened on 9/11, al Qaeda has not. The desire to bring about economic collapse of the western world is still a main goal of bin Laden and his followers
