Clinton's Justification of Byrd's KKK Past

I would rather that they just ignored the topic than to try and justify it in this matter.  Not good enough Mr. President.  I realize it was a different time and different place, but being an active member of an organization that believed in killing another group based on skin color cannot be justified. 

Robert Byrd Dead at 92

Senator Byrd passed away early this morning.  He was the longest serving senator in history.  A prime example of why term limits are necessary.  He did bring the pork to his state, so I guess that is how he kept getting re-elected. 

As a child you are taught not to say mean things about the dead, so I think I am going to keep this short and sweet.  But, I will say this complicates the dems push to get through cap and trade, the Kagan nomination, and financial reform.
