Velma Hart, the woman who told President Obama at a local townhall meeting that she was exhausted defending the president has lost her job as a CEO at a non profit. Having a great deal of experience of working with non-profits, economic downturns are very difficult for their bottom lines.
"It's not anything she did," said Jim King, the national executive director of Am Vets. "She got bit by the same snake that has bit a lot of people. It was a move to cut our bottom line. Most not-for-profits are seeing their money pinched."Hmm, interesting that the CEO gets let go. That is not normally where people start cutting. I hope for her sake that she really doesn't have to go back to franks and beans.
King would not say whether the organization had had other layoffs.

Being thrown under a bus comes to mind.
That's what happens when you buck the guys from Chicago. They push a button on you--- bada bing --- and you're history.
