Quote of the Day - Stephen Chu Edition

“No, the overall goal is to decrease our dependency on oil, to build and strengthen our economy, we think that if you consider all these energy policies, including energy efficiency, we think that we can go a long way to becoming less dependent on oil and [diversifying] our supply and we’ll help the American economy and the American consumers.”
Stephen Chu, Department of Energy Secretary when asked directly if the Obama administration is working towards lowering the ever rising gas prices.

Yeah, how about that Hope & Change now?

I didn't blame Bush when gas prices were high during his administration.  I thought it was silly to blame the president when he has so little control.  I kept holding out blaming Obama until I read this.  Hmm, does this remind you of anything?  Maybe this will refresh your memory:

He has not had as much success with electricity, but hey he still has almost a year left so who knows what he can accomplish in that time.

Is it election day yet?
