Quote of the Day - President Obama Edition

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies. … Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally."
President Obama while he was then Senator Obama with a republican president.

Hmm, interesting.  I personally believe that we are stuck in a situation where we don't have a choice but to raise the debt ceiling.  If we don't we are taking the chance of lowering our credit rating, which will increase the interest that we are paying.  But, I think that the GOP must fight for some rules that rid us of some of this out of control spending.  Every person in this country owes $42K towards the national debt, even the ones still in diapers.

Wow, Obama sounds almost like a tea partier.
