Quote of the Day - Joy Behar Edition

You know, she’s only focusing on Delaware. Isn’t she running for the Senate? It’s the United States Senate, Christine, not the Delaware Senate.
Joy Behar on Christine O'Donnell's announcement that she will not be doing anymore national media interviews.

Does this woman have any understanding of how our government works?  Apparently not.

  1. Our US senators won't give us the time of day unless we are in the right zip code. Sorry, Joy. Regionalism is great for the liberal lawmakers when they want to ignore citizens. Now the shoe is on the other foot. Offensive, isn't it.

  2. O'connell is just another nut case that the Tea Party has adopted, she wont win just like Palin cant. Not intellegent enough to bake bread and no knowledge of really anything. Maybe they too are experiments with cloning like O'connel said excetpt here we have Humans with the brains of mice.

First, her name is O'Donnell not O'Connell. Obviously you have not read my blog as I am not a fan of hers.

What exactly does this have to do with Behar not understanding that it is the voters of Delaware that will be making the decision?

Are you referring to Joy or Christine? Just kidding, I know who you meant.

If Christine wants to only focus on local media, that's fine. However, this ironically could work against her in some cases. Because of their busy schedules, it's likely that some Delaware voters aren't able to catch a local TV/radio talk show. Even if a person isn't able to watch/listen to a national show live, it's easy to catch it online via You Tube, a podcast, etc.

I do wonder if the media Christine really wants to focus on are the outlets that will give her a free pass. We shall see. If she makes another appearance on Fox or accepts an invitation from Rush Limbaugh, we'll know the score.

I have no real skin in this game. I have made my opinion on her perfectly clear and have heard much crap because of it. Although, I did nudge a bit after hearing her on Hannity as she took responsibility for her foreclosure, although she didn't go quite far enough.

I also really believe that in many ways, people are not always happy to have someone in office that is more of a national figure. It can sometimes appear that they are working more for themselves than they are for the state/district. So keeping a low profile is a good move. She won't get good press, so why bother? Just shake hands and meet people directly.
