Liberal Policy Irony of the Day
When Alvin Greene won the Democratic nomination for the senate seat in South Carolina, many believed that he was a Republican Plant. Greene has no name recognition, no job, and lets face it; he isn't the sharpest tool in the shed. Congressman Clyburn wanted an investigation on how an unemployed person was able to get the $10,000 fee to get into the race.
Well, the investigation is now complete. Turns out that since he lives in his parents basement, he was able to use the money that he has been collecting from all those extended unemployment benefits to pay his fee.
We have to be honest here, the republicans had no reason to plant anyone into this race, Senator DeMint has close to a 70% approval rating, no matter who runs against him has a very long row to hoe. But, this is just too rich not to comment on.

I think it is a shame that it costs so much to get into the race. Only rich people can run, but this guy, I don't know.
ReplyDeleteHe used his unemployment checks to pay the fee? That is unbelievable. I guess that's better than spending it on booze and drugs.
ReplyDeleteAs ridicules as this is; it does show that he has far more fiscal discipline than most members of Congress.

ReplyDeleteSadly, you are right.
What the MSM conveniently forgets is that the Dems had to vote for the guy.
ReplyDeleteAnd we're the "dumb" ones, right?
This is really an entertaining story. I have an odd respect for this Greene guy. Not that I'd want him in government. But....
