One of the companies was State Farm, who issued a statement saying that they never intended to run their ads during any political programming, so as to not "choose sides". (How can you not know when/where you are airing your ads? And if that's the case, why run them on FOX news network in the first place?)
It's odd... I don't remember them dropping their ads when liberal commentators called Bush a racist.
They've been my insurance company for 10 years. I wrote to them, asking for clarification. But I might end up shopping around...
