Things that make you say hmm

No firm number is known, but it appears that the Obama administration has 18 “czars”. This number is larger than the Romanov Dynasty in Russia, and almost as many as the 300 year history of Russian Czars. This is dangerous. These people answer to no one. There are no checks and balances.

In California, farms are being driven out of business due to severe water shortages. The water shortage is due to a fish on the endangered species list.

During the election cycle I heard Michelle Obama being interviewed saying that “Barack just gets it.” During her time in Russia, she was taken on a walking tour of some forests. She carried a purse that cost almost $6000. Does she get it? People are unemployed and losing their homes. It isn’t a very good idea to flaunt your personal wealth at this time of economic crisis.

$1.6 Billion is in the house version of the health care bill aimed at such things as walking paths, lighting of parks, and farmer’s markets. The senate version has no cap on amount spent. This is to lower obesity rates in this country. Farmers Markets will not decrease obesity among the poor; they can’t afford to shop at them. The poor rates of obesity are higher than the rates of the rest of the country, because they can’t afford healthier foods.

“Frankly I had thought that at the time Roe was decided, there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don’t want to have too many of.” Justice Ruth Bader-Ginsburg. What populations is she referring to; minorities, the poor, or maybe the disabled? This is a truly scary statement.

Speaking of Justice Bader-Ginsburg, she has endorsed Judge Sotomayor in an article to appear in Sunday’s New York Times. Her endorsements are largely targeted at her Wise Latina comments.

European Countries, such as Sweden and Germany are lowering the amount of government spending to GDP ratios. The US is increasing.

If GM is now partially owned by American tax-payers, do I get an employee discount?

Counties that voted for John McCain are getting less than 50% of federal dollars compared to counties that voted for President Obama.

During the election process, the Obama campaign called the economy the worst since the Great Depression. VP Biden recently stated that they underestimated how bad it was. What kind of sense does this make?

Boston Crème Donuts which is based in Delaware is changing the corporate articles to be based in Canada by the end of this year. US tax rates for corporations will be rising; Canadian tax rates will continue to drop over the next three years. How may do you think will be following that lead?

  1. As for your 1st 'Umm' - there are no checks and balances in our present standing government... so what's a few dozen czars!

The 3rd 'Umm' - didn't the Obama's go on a rather expensive New York trip here recently?

The 3rd to last 'Umm' - that's probably because they refuse to take money they don't need.
