Notre Dame is at it again - Alumni funds used to send students to the gay rights parade in DC
Notre Dame University, one of the nation's top catholic universities, gave money from the students activities fund to pay for five students' trip to the gay rights march on Washington, DC over the weekend. The money from this fund comes from the school itself as well as from money raised from the Alumni Association.
Alumni of the school are non to pleased to find this is how thier money is being spent. Many people in the association are still upset at the University's decision to have President Obama as the speaker at the graduation ceremony.
The catholic church has the strictest policies when it comes to homosexuality. This has only increased since Pope Benedict has taken over from Pope John Paul. The pope has made it very clear that you are persona non gratis to serve as a priest if you have any homosexual feelings or approve of the "lifestyle".
The controversy has just added to the bad press that the University has received since the graduation. The alumni association has been trying to get an explanation from the school, but has yet to recieve a satisfactory answer. Apparently the funds are made available to students as long as one faculty member approves the trip.
The university needs to decide if it is a catholic university or not. If the university wants to be more open to social issues such as gay rights and abortion than that is it's choice. But it cannot continue to call itself a catholic university while it is supporting things that the church has very clear guidelines against.
The catholics that are part of the alumni association needs to ask themselves is giving money to the school that is clearly turning it's back on it's roots is a worthwhile use of thier money.

Are you a three percenter? - A story of our founding
By Kellene Bishop
Here’s a set of facts about the Revolutionary War that every American should know.
■During the Revolutionary War, only THREE percent of the people actually fought against Great Britain.
■Only TEN percent of the citizens actively supported that three percent.
■Approximately TWENTY percent considered themselves to be on the side of the Revolution, but they did not actively participate.
■Towards the climatic end of the war, approximately THIRTY percent actually fought on the side of the British.
■The rest of the citizens had no disposition either way. They didn’t care. They didn’t want anything to do with what they deemed to simply be a political issue.
The sanctity, liberty, and freedoms of this nation were brought about by the unselfish, honorable, patriotic, committed, and determined acts of a mere 3%. This three percent didn’t let the comforts of life blind them to the eternal significance of freedom. They didn’t allow evil speaking to sway what their heart told them was true. They didn’t postpone their actions for a more convenient time. They didn’t value their own life over the life and liberty of their fellow citizens. In many cases, they sealed their testimony of Freedom, Liberty, and Choice with their blood and the blood of their families. Although it was only three percent, it was still sufficient to create a nation which was to be an example to all the rest of the world of a truly free republic. This three percent laid the foundation of the most powerful and prosperous nation on the earth. This valiant three percent manifested to the entire nation, and surely even the world, the unalienable value of hope, faith, family, virtue and freedom.
The question is does this nation still contain a “three percent” who possess the same traits? Is there a “three percent” among us who can save this nation from crumbling into a vile, unrecognizable society?

BOSTON GLOBE – Morrissey Blvd – 2pm – 5pm - SEE NOTE FROM ORGANIZER…
(People have contacted me with concerns about parking at or around the Boston Globe. I contacted the Boston police and the Mass. State police and they made a
few suggestions. There is limited parking on the street and we can only stand on
the sidewalk in and around the Boston Globe, so they suggest we take the Braintree T OR THE Quincy T to the Columbia station stop. When you get off the T, you will be directly across from Moakley park where we plan on congregating. After we’ve all grouped together we will then march the one block to the Boston Globe. If you get there early enough I’m sure there should be plenty of parking at the park. Here are the driving directions for that.
MOAKLEY PARK – Boston – Driving directions: Take I-90 (Mass Pike) East to I-93 South – Take I-93 South to the JFK Library Exit – Go left at the end of the ramp (under the interstate) – Continue up a small hill and into a rotary – Take the second exiting road (almost straight across). When exiting the rotary, Columbus Park will be on your left and the water will be on your right. Continue pass the Police Department, Park in the lot near the large pavillion. The field will be across the street. Follow the main sidewalk into the middle of the park.
Public transportation: Red Line: UMASS/JFK leaves you across the street from the entrance of the park. Bus Route 8 and 16.
We realize you have families, jobs, and many other obligations, but isn’t it
about time those of us who work hard, care for our kids, and pay the taxes take
a stand? We are planning on a pretty good group of people so we should have a
wonderful time!! Drive, bus, T, carpool, caravan, taxi, walk! I don’t care how you get there. Just do it!)

WNEM TV5 (CBS) – 107 N. Franklin Street – 4pm to 6pm
They have a broadcast that day at 6:00pm, so being there before the broadcast should be the most effective and it will have us out of there by dark. There are 2 big sidewalks in front and to the side of the studio and it is on a main street in downtown Saginaw, so a pretty good spot. There is parking on Genesee and Washington, and 2 parking structures nearby, one of them being the Dow Event Center parking structure which would be a 2 block walk to the studio. Remember this protest is to the mainstream news media and our disgust and dissapointment with them. Stay peaceful and keep your signs focused to them, eg. "Can You Hear Us Now", "Report the Whole Story", "Don’t ignore We The People", etc. Hope to see you there.

Another Day, Another Radical - Judge Louis "Loophole Louie" Butler
Judge Louis Butler is the latest in a long line of radicals that the Obama administration is trying to foist onto the American people. Judge Butler has been given the nickname “Loophole Louie”, a name that he seems to embrace and relish. He had gotten this nickname due to the fact that he bent over backwards to take the side of the criminal defendant over law enforcement.
Butler is the first judge to lose a re-election bid in Wisconsin in forty years. He started his career as a public defender in 1979. He was appointed to the judgeship in 1992. During his tenure as a judge he has written such opinions as companies can be held liable for products that they may not have even been involved in the manufacturing. The case is Thomas v. Mallett, a case that allowed the plaintiffs to hold responsible the paint manufactures for the existence of lead paint in homes that were built in the early part of the 20th century. The plaintiffs could not show that they manufactures that they were suing actually manufactured the paint not did the plaintiff have real evidence of the damage that was done to his health. While we all know that lead paint is dangerous, especially to children, the fact remains that was not known as early as 1900. Part of the dissident of the ruling was written as follows:
"The end result ... is that the defendants, lead paint manufacturers, can be held liable for a product they may or may not have produced, which may or may not have caused the plaintiffs' injuries, based on conduct that may have occurred 100 years ago when some of the defendants were not even part of the relevant market."
The voters in Wisconsin voted for a constitutional amendment to ban casino gambling in the state and Louie not only over-turned this but allowed them to expand. Shortly after this the voters of Wisconsin kicked him to the curb when re-election time came rolling around.
Louie has been nominated to fill an open seat on the Western District Court for the state of Wisconsin. This is yet another example of how President Obama has no real respect for our constitution or the will of the people.
His nomination will be need to be confirmed by the Senate. I believe that his record is far more distrubing than that of Justice Sotomayor.

I am not Pro-life, but this could make me so
Did she ever consider divorce? I would never have an abortion myself, but I am a little on the fence if it should be illegal in all cases. But in this case, this woman belongs in jail.
A woman has admitted to being 'an abortion addict' after having 15 terminations over 17 years.
Irene Vilar said she had the abortions not from poverty or fear but as an extraordinary act of rebellion against her 'controlling' husband who did not want children.
The 40-year-old's confession has unleashed a torrent of attacks from anti-abortion activists on the internet, including death threats and demands for her to be jailed.
The cycle of pregnancies and abortions, which began when she was 16 and ended when she was 33, was also punctuated by several suicide attempts.
Now a successful literary agent with two young daughters, Loretta, five, and Lolita, three, Mrs Vilar has written about her experiences in a memoir, called Impossible Motherhood: Testimony of an Abortion Addict.
The book, which was published yesterday, has shocked many Americans, who remain bitterly divided over the issue, and has angered campaigners on both sides of the abortion divide.
Charmaine Yoest, president of pro-life pressure group Americans United for Life, said: 'It really underscores everything we always say in the pro-life movement - that abortion is part of a very sad story for women.'
However, pro-choice campaigners said Mrs Vilar's book raises uncomfortable questions about abortion as a form of birth control.
Mrs Vilar said of the book's reception: 'I am worried about my safety and the hate mail. I just imagine the "baby killer" stuff and I could be a poster child for that kind of fundamentalism.'
The attractive one-time academic prodigy attended a boarding school in New Hampshire and was accepted into a New York university when she was only 15.
A year later, she fell in love and married a 50-year-old Latin American literature professor, who she says was opposed to having children.
She claims he bragged that his relationships never lasted more than five years and told that having children killed sexual desire.
In response, Mrs Vilar said she rebelled by 'forgetting' to take her birth control pills.
Puerto Rican nationalist Lolita Lebron, pictured at an anti-U.S. protest in 2000, is Ms Vilar's grandmother. She left her own daughter with relatives as a baby
'In the beginning I was taking pills and I'd skip a day or two or give up one month,' she said in a television interview. 'I'd think I'll be better next time.
'But slowly, my days took on a balancing act and there was a specific high. I would get my period and be sad, then discover I was pregnant, being afraid, yet also so excited.'
She claimed she had the abortions so her husband wouldn't leave her although she failed to reveal whether he knew of the terminations.
'Of course, this did not mean I wanted to do it again and again.
'A druggie also wants to stop every time.'
'Women have written memoirs about their anorexia or their bulimia, and they explain the best that they can what motivated their addiction or their behaviour. I try to do the same in this book.'
Her first husband, Pedro Cuperman, a professor at Syracuse University in New York, could not be contacted for comment yesterday.
In her book, Mrs Vilar also revealed how she is haunted by a tragic past. Her grandmother, Puerto Rican nationalist Lolita Lebron, was jailed for 25 years after storming the U.S. Capitol building with a gun in 1954.
She was convicted of attempting to overthrow the government and was jailed for 25 years before she was pardoned by President Jimmy Carter in 1979.
Divided: Ms Vilar's book has split opinion on the issue of abortion
The author was eight when her mother killed herself by jumping from a moving car and died two days later. Her husband had been driving while her tiny daughter had made a pathetic attempt to hold her mother back.
Two of Mrs Vilar's brothers became heroin addicts.
Although she said she did not see herself as a victim, she admitted she felt she had let the women's movement down.
Now re-married, she is raising their two daughters and two teenage stepchildren in Denver, Colorado.
'Motherhood has made me feel accountable,' she said. 'It hasn't made me less pro-choice.
'It's just that I understand and feel the weight of the privilege we have in exercising our right to choose.'
Yesterday, a report released by the U.S.-based Guttmacher Institute revealed the number of abortions fell from 45.5million in 1995 to 41.6million in 2003.
The study claimed progress had been made in reducing unintended pregnancies, but too many women were still having unsafe abortions, with 32 countries having laws that make the procedure illegal.
The manuscript for Impossible Motherhood was rejected 51 times, before finally being published by Other Press.
Miss Vilar married her second husband in 2003 and now lives with her two daughters and two stepchildren. She is planning a new memoir on motherhood

Strange Bedfellows Indeed
We are going to have some strange and interesting allies in our fight. If the opposition is coming fast and furious from every direction we can overload them into making modest, common sense changes to improve the healthcare system in this country.
(CNN) – More than two dozen of the nation's largest labor unions, a coalition that has previously been among the president's most solid bases of support, are taking out full page newspaper ads Wednesday to register their disapproval with the health care reform bill that has formally cleared the Senate Finance Committee.
Only hours after President Obama hailed the committee's passage of the measure as a "critical milestone," the union groups — which include the AFL-CIO and AFSCME — condemn the plan for lacking a public option and imposing stiff penalties on Americans who choose not get health insurance.
The unions also say employers should be required to pay a higher share of health insurance costs and that health care should not be financed by taxes on the most comprehensive health care policies known as "Cadillac plans."
"Unless the bill that goes to the floor of the U.S. Senate makes substantial progress to address the concerns of working men and women, we will oppose it," the ad states.
The ads are running in the Washington Post along with other D.C.-based papers

Why I My Found Voice - Silent No Longer
I, like most, have many titles; one of which that I am most proud is American. As a first generation American, you are taught from a very young age to be grateful that you live in this country. Immigrants tend to stay within a community of immigrants. At first it is because you have come to a foreign land where everyone and everything is different and strange to you. For many, learning the language doesn’t happen until you get here. As such, when you’re a child you are exposed to heavy doses of your parents’ cultural norms all the while being an all American kid.
At the dinner table you hear all the stories of why your parents left their own land. In many cases you the lack of opportunities “back home”. That is the experience I had as a child. My parents proudly put out the flag on June 14 for Flag Day; something you don’t see many people doing anymore. Our flag was out on Memorial and Veterans Day. We had a picnic on the beach anxiously awaiting the fireworks on The Fourth of July. Me wearing my red white and blue summer garb. My relatives and their friends rarely missed an opportunity to tell me how lucky I was to grow up here.
Being an all American girl, I started to take too many things for granted. I started to expect things. As I have grown older and more educated I have seen for myself all the lessons that my family tried to teach me.
As I have read more about American history as well as world history I have come to appreciate the magnitude of the bravery and outright audacity of what our founders actually have accomplished. As I have read more on the constitution I have realized what my freedoms are supposed to mean.
Reading the anti-federalist papers has been an eye-opening experience. This is what has caused me to realize what the American government is supposed to mean and more importantly what it is not supposed to mean. This government was supposed to be set up to give me the opportunity to succeed as well as to fail. Our government was set up to give me a voice. Well, I have found that voice.
I am looking around today, our government has failed us. As I look around today I see a two party system that is far more concerned with consolidating power for them than they are for providing the safety nets for all Americans as it was intended to do.
Like many Americans, I voted but didn’t get involved in many other ways. I went about my life. I got myself an education and then a job. I built a life for myself. Some of it has been wonderful, other parts of it not so much. I have learned to deal with the bad the best that I can and to accept the good. When I showed up at the voting booth, I tended to vote along party lines. I would cross over on occasion, but not often. I never really questioned much. I would hear about yet one more outrage our government would do, I would yell at the TV and the next morning go to work and go about my life as usual. I didn’t pay attention to what laid beneath the surface.
I didn’t pay attention to the fact that the two parties are primarily the same except for the fringes on both sides. I didn’t pay attention to the two party’s taking more and more power. I didn’t pay attention to the hypocrisy and outright deceit when they told me it was for “my own good”, or better yet “trust me”. I didn’t pay attention to the fact that the federal government has been eroding the rights of the states for at least the past generation. Again, this is being done to consolidate their power, not to help me.
Well, I am paying attention now. I am tired of the federal government telling me what is good for me and what is not. They are neither my parents nor my God. I am tired of the federal government not solving issues, such as social security, just to have an ongoing argument to use during election cycles. I am tired of them saying my taxes needs to be raised or they are going to cut services such as police, all the while still spending millions of dollars on road signs to show where the stimulus money is being spent. I am tired of them thinking that I am not intelligent enough to figure out that is being done so they can tell me that they are using my money wisely, when what they are actually doing is wasting it. I am tired of watching press conferences where even Speaker Pelosi is unable to hide her visceral reaction to Sen. Reid’s outright falsehoods. I am tired of them telling me that healthcare reform is going to be budget neutral, when we are billions of dollars in debt. Unless it actually makes money it will cost money. I do understand simple mathematics. I am tired of when they are called on these stupid and wasteful expenditures they then say it is only a small portion of the budget. If you say that about 1,000 different things it is no longer a small portion is it? Do you think that I don’t understand that?
I will no longer sit at home and yell at the television. I will no longer vote along party lines. I will no longer accept the lesser of two evils. I will no longer be silent when the constitution is being waylaid to serve the purpose of party instead of country. I will no longer accept the status quo inside the beltway. You don’t know what is good for me and my family better than I do. I am sick and tired of federal laws that require a rural area of Nebraska meet the same standards as Manhattan. They are not the same and the needs of rural and urban areas are different. We want to be treated the way the founders expected us to be treated. As individuals, as human beings that have diginity and intelligence. Until you do that, I will continue to show up and to raise my voice.

Things that make you say hmm, healthcare reform edition
Here are some things that I have been pondering about lately. Let me know what you think.
The Baucus bill in its current form will put much of the costs on the states. Does that mean that President Obama will be able to say that he kept his promise of no new taxes on middle class American’s even after my state taxes increase?
Are the states going to be forced to accept these additional costs? Doesn’t the 10th amendment mean anything anymore?
Why should I pay higher taxes starting in 2010 when the program doesn’t start until 2013?
Is it fair that the people of Nevada are exempt from much of the additional costs for three years because Harry Reid is in a tight re-election race?
If Nevada is exempt shouldn’t California be exempt as well? California’s economy is in real trouble. If that is the basis of the exemption shouldn’t all states that have deficits be exempt?
If all states that have deficits are exempt wouldn’t that mean almost all states would be exempt?
Are you comfortable with the bill saying that people can be jailed for not having health insurance?
Wouldn’t it just be cheaper to give the people in the country without insurance money to pay for health insurance?
If there is so much waste in Medicare/Medicaid why isn’t being fixed?
Why are the penalties higher for having pot than for Medicare fraud?
Sen. McCaskill told Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday that almost $1 billion could be saved by Medicare not paying for the scooters that senior’s with walking issues use.
Is it fair to assume that all people that have medical debt never pay it off? If that is true, then I must be an idiot. I paid all my medical bills when I was sick.

Morgan Tsvangirai, not worthy of the peace prize?
Morgan Tsvangirai, the current Prime Minister of Zimbabwe, was rumored to be the hands on favorite to win this year's Nobel Peace Prize. He of course did not win; as it was announced this morning that President Barack Obama will recieve the honor.
Born in 1952 in the central part of the country. He is the eldest child of a large family. As such he was unable to finish his education due to financial concerns and left school to help support his family. In 1974 he began working in the mines. He eventually worked his way up and then became involved with the labor unions. His influence within the unions allowed him become the secretary general of the Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Unions in 1989. In 1999 he formed the MDC, The Movement for Democratic Change. He is the main opposition to Robert Mugabe. The brutal and murderous dictator of Zimbabwe.
He has been arrested many times throughout his adult life during his campaign to bring change and peace to the people of his country. One of the more recent arrests being in 2007, when he was also badly beaten. He has been arrested and tried for treason on several occassions.
Last year he was involved in a car accident while driving down a two lane highway. A truck hit them head on. This is one in a line of people who opposed Mugabe that were killed in car accidents. It has happened at least on three other occassions. He was relatively unhurt in this accident, but his wife was not so lucky and was killed.
In 2008 he ran for president, and the initial counts showed him getting 60% of the vote. As time passed the votes dwindled and was allegedy shown that he gotten only 47.9% of the vote. Zimbabwe law requires a majority to win the election outright or a runoff must be done. As the runoff got closer, the violence in the country increased and at least 300 people were murdered.
After the election Tsvangirai left the country to help settle the violence and to stay out of jail. Eventually he and Mugabe came to a power-sharing agreement and he was sworn in as prime minister on February 11 of this year.
President Obama, the first black President of the United States, won this honor simply for not being President Bush. I would not say that is far more important than what PM Tsvangirai has actually accomplished for the pursuit of peace in the world.

President Obama, Nobel Peace Prize Winner. What took so long?
The president has received his long overdue award. I mean after all he was in office for a full 12 days when the nomination was put forward.
One of the most fascinating things of it is the fact that he had yet to apologize to the world for the U.S., he had yet to give a speech in Cairo that in some quarters was viewed as throwing the Israeli's under the bus, he had yet to go back on his promise to put a missile shield defense system in Poland and the Czech Republic. He had yet to lie to the American people about the real costs of his cap and tax legislation. He had yet to go to the United Nations and become more active in an organization that has proven itself to be corrupt and anti-Semitic. He had yet to back the President of Honduras who is trying to consolidate power against that nation’s constitution. He had yet to listen to Chavez lend his oratory skills against the U.S. government and its people. He had yet to sit back and listen to some of the leaders of his party call American's who are against his policies Nazi’s and angry mobs.
I suppose they could have made worst choice, they could have given it to another terrorist like Arafat.
Read here about the man he beat out.

Go Big or Go Home
According to the London Times our troops are discouraged and depressed about the situtation going on in Afghanistan. All of this in the shadow of our President having the request of more troops and dragging his heals.
Mr. President, make a decision. Give our troops what they need or bring them home. Today, Robert Gibbs said during his press briefing that we had to consider the costs. While I agree that cost of course is an issue, but it can't be the only issue.
We need to decide if as a matter of national security we need to continue to stay in Afghanistan. If it is decided that it is not a matter of natural securtiy than bring them home. Why are we endangering the lives of our troops without a clear mission?
People that are willing to put themselves in harms way to protect my freedoms deserve to be given what they need to get the job done. Mr. President, if you are not willing to give it to them, then bring them home.

Levi Johnston Baring it All
Levi Johnston, the father of Sarah Palin's grandson, will be baring it all for Playgirl. The date has yet to determined, but is expected to hit the internet by the year-end. Presently, he is spending his time working out at the gym to get body ready. Too bad he isn't putting that type of energy into raising his son.
Has anyone sat down with this young man and explained to him that his son is going to find out about all of these shennigans? He has gone on national tv shows and discussed his sex life with his son's mother, he is whoring himself out for tv commercials, trying to get into show business and now this. Does he fully understand that these videos last forever?
Thank heavens that Bristol Palin has rid herself of this disgraceful man. Too bad that the baby cannot say the same.

The health care “reform” legislation that is moving through the Senate Finance Committee fails to
offer the common sense reforms our system needs and instead decreases our health insurance
choices and makes health care more expensive with higher taxes.
TELL YOUR SENATORS:
Riddled with Taxes: This legislation is riddled with tax hikes. They start by taxing those
earning over $10,831 year who don’t buy health insurance $750—a tax that escalates to
$3,800 as income rises. Health insurance, health care devices and drugs are also taxed,
adding to the cost of health care, and decreasing the competitiveness of these businesses.
Medicare Cuts: The bill cuts $500 billion in Medicare spending, including over $130
billion in cuts to Medicare Advantage and nearly $120 billion in Medicare cuts for hospitals
that care for seniors. The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) says they “expected the
Medicare Advantage plans to lose 2.7 million enrollees over the next decade” as a result.
Raises Insurance Prices: CBO also finds “premiums in the new insurance exchanges
would tend to be higher than the average premiums in the current-law individual market…”
Force, Not Choice: This legislation includes an “individual mandate” forcing all Americans
to purchase health insurance, like the Massachusetts law. Taxpayer subsidies will be given
to those earning up to three times the federal poverty level. Those not qualifying for
subsides will be taxed up to $3,800 if they do not buy insurance. The experience in
Massachusetts has left those caught inbetween unable to afford insurance and having to pay
the tax.
Big Insurance Boondoggle: Forcing all the uninsured into insurance could bring as much as
$200 billion a year in new premiums to insurance companies, including $465 billion in
subsidies over 10 years.
Privacy Violation: This legislation would allow law enforcement agencies such as the FBI
and the Department of Justice unprecedented unfettered access to medical records.
No Lawsuit Reform: This bill fails to curb junk lawsuits. It doesn’t even implement the
“demonstrations projects” on reform the President called for (despite the fact that states like
Mississippi have already done so and seen medical malpractice insurance premiums drop 42
percent). Instead, it will “express the Sense of the Senate that health care reform presents an
opportunity to address issues related to medical malpractice and medical liability insurance.”
Bipartisan Opposition: The only thing bipartisan about this bill is the opposition to it.
A vote for cloture on this legislation is a vote in favor of government-run health care.
We will be watching your vote closely. VOTE NO!

Conservative Girl Adventures - Part 4 Save The American Dream Summit
Here are some highlights from Newt's speech:
European Socialism is losing.
In 1977 President Carter started his presidency with a higher approval rating than President Obama.
We need to make a non-partisian commitment. If are too busy we don't value our country. Campaign effectively. Don't write off anyone. He reminded us something that Margaret Thatcher said:
1st you win the agruement, then you win the vote.
He thinks that the President should speak to every TV show that is willing to have him: as he is a great orator with the wrong message. The more he talks, the more his poll numbers drop.
He also has some thoughts on real stimulus:
1. 2 year 50% reduction in Social Security taxes. Repeal the rest of the stimulus to cover the costs.
2. Create jobs that will compete with China. Capital gains taxes in China is 0.
3. Match Irish corporate tax rate which is 12%. (ours is more than double this)
4. Abolish the death tax.
5. Energy policy that uses American energy sources. Bowing to a Saudi King is not an energy policy.
He electrified the place. Newt has his flaws, but is a brilliant conservative mind. He is what we need right now.

We heard some great speeches today. Especially from Herman Cain.
One of the things that he spoke about was saving the savable when it comes to liberals. He also explained how to know not to bother.

Conservative Girl Adventures - Part 2
I had a great day at the Save the American Dream Summit today. I attended some internet activism classes, went to a rally/tea party down on the Capitol. We also went and spoke with Eric Cantor's office. He is from Virginia so he had a staff member come and meet with us. It was interesting, because I don't think his staff member expected the anger.
This is one of the things that the republicans don't get. We are not going to vote for them simply because they are republicans. They need to get back to their conservative ideals and principles. I told him that I will vote for democrat if he/she is a fiscally conservative. I don't care about party. The look on his face was total shock. It was fun!!
Laura Ingraham was one of the key note speakers. She gave a good speech. She had the chance to sit in for Bill O'Reilly tonight. She was a little bummed that she didn't have the opportunity to talk about Michelle and Oprah crying their way back to America after the shock of not only losing to Rio, but being knocked out in the first round. I happened to be in an internet activism training class when the news came out. The entire room stood up and cheered.
Laura also gave kudos to us all. The bloggers and the people that have showed up at the town halls and tea parties. We are driving the legislation agenda. Even if the democrats don't want to admit it.
A very good day/evening. I did forget my camera this morning.
I will fill you in more tomorrow at the rest of the events over the weekend.

Conservative Girl Adventures - Part I

Defending the American Dream Summit - A weekend of activities and speakers are planned.
I went to the meet and greet tonight. I met a doctor who was telling me the same things that I am feeling. We are afraid of what is happening to this country. He was telling me that he knows that health care needs to be reformed, but without tort reform; nothing will change except for the fact that our care will be rationed. He was a very interesting man.

Note: For info on the ATL event, please go to northgeorgia912.com. This is protest, not a rally or march because 1.) we couldn’t meet the deadlines to get the required permits and 2.) other events going on that day downtown (Juvenile Diabetes Walk and Disney on Ice shows). So we can’t have speakers or bull horns or anything like a Tea Party. We will be providing the equivalent of race numbers to all attendees so we can get an accurate count and make sure that’s in the face of the media. We’ll be on the Marietta St. sidewalk from CNN Center to the AJC.
