Thanks for that tidbit.

I really just don't understand how a person can call themselves a feminist, yet have nothing but contempt for other women who have decided that marrying young and having a child is the right path for them. It really is shocking to me. Here's a little confession: I'm an ...Hello. Here's a little confession: I'm an ex-liberal/prog. I wasn't the "nice liberal" - okay I was on surface, but once you got me talking I was rather staunch and 'hardcore.' I held views and attitudes similar to Ms. Glass.

If you haven't already known, I'll tell you another 'secret': people like Ms. Glass are a dime a dozen amongst the left.

Although a wide generalization, I'll say it anyways. They have great contempt for wives with kids - especially housewives. Even more contempt for women that choose to become a stay at home mom. Getting married is one thing. Having one(1) kid is another. Two(2) you'll be seen as "on the verge of insanity" while three(3) or more you're just a baby maker.

They also don't like (which is an understatement) middle America or the South. They see such places as uncultured and backwards. In fact, just today, I had a delightful exchange with a man who thought I was from 'the swamps' where I played a banjo, buck tooth and all because I came across, to him, as a bigot (the topic was a very sensitive one - a very popular social issue - which I'm sure you could deduce).

He called my parents 'sibling parents' because, like I noted, he thought I was from 'the swamps' aka The Dirty South. By sibling parents he meant young women who get pregnant before 22 and marry young, hence 'sibling' parents, or simply white trash - the ever popular group the left loves to mock.

I corrected him and said I was raised in a major city, where I currently reside, that was much larger than Seattle (where he was from) and that my parents didn't marry till their late 20s.

Of course, as usual with the left, he kept using the bigot card and constantly tried to back peddle.

I am sure people like Ms. Glass and this man, from Seattle, would get along just fine. They are too narcissistic and too arrogant for their own good. GoldRush Applehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04672912751538200761noreply@blogger.com
